Furnace and Heating Repair in Camp Hill, Harrisburg, Hershey, Carlisle, and Dillsburg At SECCO Home Services, we learned the heating business the hard way; installing electric heat pumps and geothermal heat pumps. Craig and I invested many evening hours of training to learn air flow design – the biggest complaint homeowners had about heat pumps. The air is “too cold” and “uncomfortable”. We quickly discovered the problem wasn’t really the electric heat pump or geothermal heat pump; it was the ductwork design and installation!

In the early days, we weren’t so lucky to be associated with the major manufacturers as we are today. The minor brands bought components from other manufacturers and assembled their systems. Needless to say, some components didn’t work so well and we got a real-world education when the systems failed our trusting customers.

Through the trials and tribulations of taking care of our customers, our vendors came to us to solve other installer’s problems – and finally, the major manufacturers courted us to handle their equipment. More importantly, many of our Customers are third generation buyers and have generously referred us to their families and friends, which we appreciate so much!

We practice on ourselves! Both Craig and I have owned several homes that we’ve installed the “latest & greatest” electric heat pumps, dual-fuel heat pumps, hybrid heat pumps, geothermal heat pumps, single stage gas furnaces, high efficiency gas furnaces, variable speed gas furnaces, and even solar heating systems.

Craig served on the Central Eastern PA Heat Pump Association steering committee during the time of PP&L’s off-peak storage water heating initiative and we have the distinction of installing the very first Water Furnace Geothermal Heat Pump with the “slinky loop” in Pennsylvania!

Sorry, we don’t install Oil Furnaces – but we do replace them with Gas Furnaces, Gas Boilers and sometimes, Geothermal Heat Pumps.
