Making the Most of Local Foods in the Summer

SECCO Home Services is a local company, so it only makes sense that we support local businesses.  And in the summer, there is nothing better than to enjoy some of central Pennsylvania’s local foods!

Okay, okay… we can hear you now:

  • “Wait!  I’m not a cook!  I wouldn’t know where to begin.”
  • “My kids will NEVER eat something that isn’t in ‘nugget’ form.”
  • “Local foods are too expensive.”

The truth is that:

a)      You don’t have to be a great chef to enjoy local foods.

b)      You might be surprised how open kids are to eating foods, especially when they help prepare them.

c)       Buying local foods is economical because most people tend to eat them quickly, producing less waste.
